About Classes[edit | edit source]

In Chronicles of Jungalore, a character's skills and available equipment is defined by their class. In total, there are 58 classes. Though at first it may seem confusing as to how classes progress, it becomes relatively simple later on.

All characters start out as a Peasant or a first class (Soldier, Scout, or Scholar) or one of the two special first classes (Adventurer or Performer). If the player starts out as a Peasant, they will later change into one of these five first classes upon completing their 13th quest.

Upon completing their 25th quest, the player will start specializing and branching out into one of three classes based on their first class (labeled under the 2-1, 2-2, or 2-3 class). They will then specialize once more based on their 2-x class, into their 3-1 or 3-2 class upon completing their 50th quest. Upon completing their 100th quest, the player becomes their final class, based on their previous class (3-1 will become 4-1, and 3-2 will become 4-2).

Performers will have the choice between two classes at 25 quest completions, Bard or Singer. Depending on the class chosen, they will advance in a linear manner afterwards at 50 and 100 quests.

Adventurers follow a linear path, and do not branch off at all.

Class Progression (Click Image to Enlarge)
  • There are a few ways to change your class path. Note that if you are a final class, the only way to change class is to utilize the first method and start all over from zero quests.
    1. Using the services at the Temple of Youth will reset you to zero quests and let you pick a new first class (excluding Peasant). All stats are reset freely as well. If you are a first class, you will retain quest progress, but your stats will be reset.
    2. By going to a school as a first, second, or third class, you may change to a class of the same level for only 10,000 Legens. You will keep your quest progress in doing so and you will retain your stat allocations.
  • Stats and Life/Will points are only reset if advancing from peasant to a first class. You would otherwise have to visit a school and pay a fee to reset these points (at 10,000 Legens per category, meaning a full reset will cost 50,000 Legens as Life/Will Points count as one category).
  • An example of the general path is as follows:
    1. Start off as Peasant.
    2. Reach 13 quests.
    3. Choose a first class (Soldier).
    4. Reach 25 quests.
    5. Choose a second class (Warrior).
    6. Reach 50 quests.
    7. Choose a third class (Knight).
    8. Reach 100 quests.
    9. Become final class (in this case, Guardian).
