"A ball-like creature, with pale creamy skin and piercing red sclera, and jet black irises, at about 3-5 inches in width and height. Similar to the pokutes, it has an unusual, almost human-like face. Sharing the trait of edibility with the Pokute, its innards are a sweet, red paste which has become a popular snack for peasants in the middle of a hard day's work.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

The second of the Intruder-class creatures to be discovered by the Magus Guild and written into the Codex Animalius, the Manda Fruit is contested to be a living creature or not by some scholars, for it does not react to any external stimuli whatsoever, aside from following motion at a range of 1 meter with its eyes. It produces no vocalizations, and is entirely passive - content to sit in plain sight. Some naturalists argue that the creature is a fruit of sorts, and it has evolved into this form to allow it to spread its seeds by utilizing the digestive systems of those who eat the Manda Fruit. However, with the increasing rarity of this creature, it is no longer possible to independently confirm this hypothesis.

Manda Fruit do not respond even when attacked, as noted above. Their soft, fleshy bodies prevent it from causing any harm even if they are dropped onto someone from a great height. They can only be encountered south of Frenga Farms. There are rumors that they have been spotted in the Bandit Isles, but that's currently unconfirmed.

Combat[edit | edit source]

The Manda Fruit is entirely passive, and has no attacks whatsoever. It can either be collected for use later, or eaten on the spot.
