Overview[edit | edit source]

"A templar who has shown great faith becomes one with the special order of paladins. They believe the answer to saving the world is simple; destroy the undead and kill the necromancers. All darkness must be sought out and destroyed."

Paladins are the final class of templars. While most swear fealty to the Church of Lumbra, the Paladin may find their powers from within themselves. Truly, anyone can become a Paladin by having strong faith in one's cause. Since their class change, they gained the ability to use Talismans and Bows, allowing for more defense. They also gain numerous special abilities in protecting their allies. This class is the ideal tank, but in the right situation and with the right stats, they can deal excellent light elemental damage, and provide support as well.

With their new special abilities, paladins are excellent for parties going to fight the undead or demons, and are a major asset when fighting against Primal Zialjua.

Note, while it is more ideal to play Paladins of the Good or Lawful alignments, it is entirely possible to make an Evil or Chaotic Paladin.

Gear/Stats[edit | edit source]

The paladin is a final class, and therefore gains no further stat points or life/will points.

Paladins may upgrade other players to warrior or templar if they have met the required quest amount. This class may also use light elemental magic with any weapon. They may also purchase carriages, mystic carriages, and ships.

Paladins get a special ability when fighting enemies of certain attributes. When taking damage from undead or demon attribute enemies, or a dark elemental attack, they take into account double defense/magic defense for each that applies. Charges of the dark element do not increase this multiplier, and so the maximum multiplier is eight times the amount (or 2^3). This effect only lasts five turns, and has a five turn cooldown before it can be triggered again.

Paladins also gain a bonus to their max life if they are protecting a party member directly behind them. If there is a party member directly behind them, their max life is increased by the protected member's max life.
